1 Introduction

Diseased meat refers to the meat of dead livestock and poultry and spoiled meat and products. These meats may contain pathogenic bacteria, parasites and harmful substances, and people may be infected with zoonotic diseases, food poisoning, and other human damage caused by harmful substances after eating. This kit can detect in a short time whether the animal is killed or forced to carry out emergency slaughter due to a certain disease before slaughter.

2 Detection Principle

Catalase is one of several enzymes contained in normal animal bodies, but when the meat is in a state of corruption, especially when the animal is killed or forced to carry out emergency slaughter due to a certain disease before slaughter. When reagents are added to the meat infusion, the peroxidase will form a blue-green compound with the indicator, which will turn brown after a certain period of time. Diseased meat does not produce this phenomenon due to little or no catalase content.

5 sample determination

(1) the sample to be tested shredded or minced, weighed 1 g in the sample cup, add pure water to 10 ml scale, soak for 10 minutes;

(2) with a straw to take 2mL immersion solution in 5mL centrifuge tube, add 5 drops of reagent A, after full vibration, then add 2 drops of reagent B, a little shock, immediately observe the solution color change within 3 minutes.

If the solution is blue-green within 3 minutes and turns brown after a while, the sample is determined to be healthy meat;

If the solution does not turn blue-green within 3 minutes and directly turns brown or has no color change, the sample is determined to be diseased meat.

6 Precautions

(1) The sample needs to be lean meat, muscle tissue, and cannot be cooked food.

(2) This product is only used for initial screening, and the final result is subject to the relevant national standards and methods.

7 Storage conditions and valid period

The reagent is stored in a cool and dry place at 4-30 ° C, protected from light, and the valid period is 12 months.
