inferior oil - carbonyl (gutter oil) quick test box manual
Product number: YC179Y01H
1 introduction
Gutter oil in a broad sense refers to all kinds of inferior oil, generally including stagnant oil, fried waste oil, waste oil produced by food and related enterprises, etc. Gutter oil can be divided into three categories: one is narrow gutter oil, which is greasy floating in the sewer or the leftovers and leftovers of hotels and restaurants (commonly known as swill) after simple processing and refining; the second is inferior pork, pig offal, pig skin processing and refining oil; the third is oil used for frying food after a certain number of times, and then reused or added to some new oil after re-use of oil. " "Gutter oil" is a very poor quality and extremely unhygienic non-edible oil. Once "gutter oil" is consumed, it will damage people's white blood cells and digestive tract mucosa, causing serious consequences of food poisoning and even cancer. Therefore, "gutter oil" is strictly prohibited from being used in the field of edible oil.
2 Detection Principle
Edible vegetable oil After frying, air oxidation, etc., some chemicals with greater polarity than normal oil molecules are produced. These substances are collectively referred to as polar components. In the recycling and refining of waste oil, the polar component value will be significantly reduced, but there will still be a small amount of markers that are difficult to remove. By reacting with specific reagents to develop color, oil samples can be quickly tested.
3 Detection range
Edible vegetable oil.
4 You need to bring your own tools
Pipette (1-5mL range)/1mL disposable straw, 5mL cryopreservation tube, timer
5 Sample determination
Take 5 drops of edible oil with a straw in the centrifuge tube, add 1mL of reagent A, place it in a water bath in boiling water for 5 minutes, and observe the color of the reaction solution after taking it out. If it is red, it indicates that the sample marker exceeds the standard and is inferior oil (gutter oil). If it is light pink or other colors or colorless, it indicates that the sample marker does not exceed the standard.
6 Precautions
6.1 Oil samples may produce positive results due to the impact of storage environment and time, which does not mean that the oil sample crude oil is inferior oil (gutter oil).
6.2 This product is only used for initial screening. The final result is subject to the relevant national standard methods.
7 Storage conditions and valid period
Reagents are stored in a cool and dry place at 4-30 ° C, protected from light, and the valid period is 12 months.
