Vinegar Free Mineral Acid Quick Test Kit Instruction Manual
Product Number: YC213T01H
1 Introduction
The main ingredient in vinegar is acetic acid (the content is more than 3.5%), and it also contains a small amount of other organic acids. GB2719-2003 "Hygienic Standard for Vinegar" stipulates that free mineral acids in vinegar (inorganic acids such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid and organic acid oxalic acid, etc.) shall not be detected. Vinegar prepared with non-edible acid or contaminated edible vinegar often contains free mineral acid. After consumers eat it, it will cause indigestion and diarrhea. If eaten for a long time, it will endanger their health.
2 Detection principle
When free mineral acid (sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc.) exists, the concentration of hydrogen ions increases, and it reacts with the detection reagent to form a colored compound, so as to determine whether the sample contains free mineral acid.
3 Detection range
Various edible vinegar
4 Technical indicators
Detection limit: 1.0% aged vinegar; 0.1% non-aged vinegar
5 Sample determination
5.1 Take a small sample on a yellow test paper with a straw and observe its discoloration. If the test paper becomes purple spots or a purple ring (light purple in the ring) is a positive result, and the yellow or white in the ring is a negative result.
5.2 Take a small sample on a purple test paper with a straw, or dip the test paper directly into the vinegar in the sample. If the test paper turns blue and green, it indicates that there is free mineral acid.
6 Precautions
6.1 Use yellow test paper to detect dark vinegar, purple test paper to detect white vinegar and light vinegar.
6.2 This product is only used for initial screening, and the final results are subject to relevant national standards and methods.
