Aflatoxin B How to use the rapid test card? Practical steps for screening moldy raw materials in the acquisition process

2025-10-06

Aflatoxin B is a common mycotoxin in agricultural products such as grains and oils. Long-term intake can cause harm to human health, especially in the acquisition process. Screening of moldy raw materials is crucial. The aflatoxin B rapid test card produced by our company (Wuhan Yupinyan Bio) has become a practical tool for rapid screening of raw materials acquisition by virtue of its simple operation and fast detection. The following is a description from the two aspects of the use method of the test card and the practical operation steps of the acquisition link.

How to use the aflatoxin B rapid test card

prepare samples, test cards and supporting reagents before use. First, the sample is pretreated: if it is a liquid sample (such as crude oil from an oil press plant), the supernatant can be directly taken as the detection liquid; if it is a solid sample (such as corn, peanuts), an appropriate amount of sample needs to be taken and ground, and distilled water or extract (usually 1:5 to 1:10 ratio) should be added in proportion. After shaking, let stand for 10 minutes, and take the supernatant for later use. After the pretreatment is completed, take out the detection card and tear open the aluminum foil bag along the notch to avoid contaminating the card body. Absorb the treated sample liquid with a matching dropper, add 2-3 drops vertically to the detection card and sample hole, and let stand for 5-10 minutes until the liquid completely penetrates into the reaction zone.

practical steps for screening moldy raw materials in the acquisition process

At the acquisition site, the acquirer needs to follow the principle of "random sampling, rapid detection, and grading". First, representative sampling of raw materials is carried out. For example, in the acquisition of corn, samples can be randomly selected from different sacks and different parts. After mixing, they can be divided into quarters to ensure that the samples are uniform. Immediately after sampling, use the test card for on-site testing to avoid the spread of toxins caused by the aggravation of mildew in the sample. When testing, strictly follow the instructions to ensure that the pretreatment and sampling process are standardized. If the test result shows "negative", it means that the sample has not detected aflatoxin B, which can be purchased normally; if there is "positive", it is determined to be moldy raw materials, and the batch information needs to be rejected and recorded.

Through the aflatoxin B rapid test card produced by our company, the acquisition process can complete the screening of raw materials within 30 minutes, effectively reduce the entry of unqualified raw materials into the production process, and ensure food safety from the source. During the operation, inspectors need to pay attention to avoid moisture and pollution of the test card to ensure that each test result is accurate and reliable.
