What is the dimetronidazole colloidal gold rapid detection card?

The dimetronidazole colloidal gold rapid detection card is a rapid detection product developed based on colloidal gold immunochromatography technology. It is mainly used for qualitative or semi-quantitative detection of dimetronidazole residues in food. Dimetronidazole is a commonly used anti-parasitic drug, which is widely used in livestock and poultry breeding. However, excessive residues may endanger human health. Therefore, rapid and accurate detection of its residues is essential to ensure food safety.

From the detection principle, the detection card adopts competitive inhibition immunochromatography. Its core structure includes sample pad, binding pad, NC membrane and absorbent pad. During detection, the sample (such as animal-derived food extract) is dropped into the addition well, and the sample will flow through the binding pad and NC membrane in turn through capillary action. The binding pad was pre-coated with colloidal gold-labeled dimetronidazole-OVA conjugate, and the NC membrane was fixed with a detection line (coated with dimetronidazole-BSA conjugate) and a quality control line (coated with sheep anti-mouse IgG antibody). If the sample does not contain dimetronidazole, the colloidal gold marker will bind to the detection line antibody, and both the detection line and the quality control line will develop color; if the sample contains dimetronidazole, it will compete with the detection line antibody to bind the colloidal gold marker, resulting in the color of the detection line becoming lighter or disappearing, so as to determine whether there is dimetronidazole residue in the sample.

Compared with traditional detection methods, the dimedinidazole colloidal gold rapid detection card has significant advantages: first, the detection speed is fast, usually results can be obtained within 15 minutes, without the need for complex equipment and professional operation skills; second, the operation is simple, just simply handle the sample and drop it into the detection card to observe the results with the naked eye; third, the sensitivity is high, which can reach the detection limit of μg/kg; fourth, the cost is low, suitable for large-scale screening and on-site rapid detection.

In practical applications, the test card can be widely used in food enterprises for raw material acceptance, production process monitoring and finished product factory inspection, and can also be used as a rapid screening tool for regulatory authorities. On-site sampling inspection of meat, eggs, dairy products and other samples in farmers markets, catering units and other places can also assist import and export inspection and quarantine departments to check the quality of cross-border food. Through rapid testing, food with excessive residues of dimedinazole can be found in time, effectively preventing food safety risks and protecting consumer health.
