Magnesium sulfate in fungus rapid test kit instruction manual
(version number: V1.0.0)

Product number: YC192C01H

1 Introduction

In recent years, adulterated fungus has appeared on the market, including the use of magnesium sulfate adulteration. Magnesium sulfate, commonly known as Epsom salt, is a colorless crystal, easily soluble in water, often used in industry for tanning, printing and dyeing, or as a fertilizer; medically used as a laxative, if taken in excess, will cause nerve, muscle paralysis, myocardial failure, or lead to skin diseases, consumption of magnesium sulfate adulterated fungus, causing serious harm to consumer health.

2 Detection principle

Identify magnesium ions and sulfate ions in fungus extract, respectively, to determine whether magnesium sulfate is used in fungus adulteration.

3 Detection range

Fungus

4 Technical indicator

Detection limit: 0.1 g/kg

5 You need to bring your own tools

Scissors, forceps, balance, purified water, water bath, pipette (1-5 mL), timer, goggles

6 Sample determination

6.1 Cut up fungus, take a small amount of dried fungus in an extraction bottle (about 1/4 cup), add purified water to a 50 mL scale line, and soak for 5-10 minutes.

6 Magnesium ion detection: Absorb 1 mL of immersion solution into a 1.5 mL colorimetric tube, add 1 drop of reagent A dropwise, and observe the color of the solution within 1 minute after mixing:

If the color tube is blue, suspected of being doped with magnesium sulfate, continue the following operations;

If the color tube is yellow-brown, it indicates that it does not contain magnesium ions, and the following operations are not necessary.

6 Sulfate ion detection: Absorb 1 mL of immersion solution into a 1.5 mL colorimetric tube, add 2 drops of reagent B and 2 drops of reagent C each. If white turbidity or white precipitation occurs in the color tube, it is suspected that magnesium sulfate is doped, and there is no white precipitation in the genuine fungus.

7 Precautions

7.1 Experimental water refers to distilled water or purified water.

7 The detection reagent is corrosive, avoid contact with the skin and mucous membranes, if it enters the eye by mistake, please rinse with a lot of water immediately.

7 This product is only used for primary screening, and the final result is subject to the relevant national standard methods.

8 Storage conditions and valid period

The reagent is stored in a cool and dry place at 4-30 ° C, and the valid period is 12 months.
