Instructions for Use of Liquid Paraffin in Aged Rice Quick Test Kit
Product Number: YP-09
First, Method Principle
The surface color of aged rice is dull. After adding paraffin wax for mixed treatment, the surface can be crystal clear and translucent, thus posing as new rice for sale. According to the physical and chemical properties such as the melting point and solubility of paraffin, the physical heating method is used to determine whether paraffin is added to rice for qualitative detection.
Second, Scope of Application
This kit is suitable for rapid qualitative detection of paraffin added to rice.

IV. Sample determination
Take rice to half the volume of the sample cup, add 3 drops of reagent A dropwise, and then add hot water above 70 ° C to submerge the rice until the sample cup is nearly full. Gently stir with a plastic spoon for about 1 minute and let stand. After the temperature of the solution in the sample cup drops below 50 ° C, observe whether there are oil droplets on the liquid surface and on the edge. If so, it is judged that paraffin is added to the sample. If there are no oil droplets, no paraffin is added to the sample.
V. Precautions
This method is a rapid qualitative detection method on site. For suspicious samples, it should be sent to the laboratory for further confirmation using standard methods.
VI. Detection limit
The detection limit of paraffin in rice in this kit is: 0.2%.
