Vegetables and dried products in copper sulfate quick test box manual
Product number: YPHM-08
1 introduction
Copper sulfate and other substances are used on vegetables, mainly for two purposes, namely preservation and insect prevention, especially copper sulfate as a plant protective inorganic fungicide, applied before the disease of vegetable crops, has a defensive effect. Recently, there are illegal traders in the market who have wilted vegetables and soaked them in sulfate ketone solution for a period of time, and the vegetables appear particularly fresh and tender. This product can quickly detect whether vegetables and their dried vegetable products have been soaked in copper sulfate.
2 Detection principle
Detect whether the sample contains copper sulfate by detecting whether the sample extract contains copper ions and sulfate ions.
3 Detection range
Green vegetables and dried vegetable products such as leeks and rapeseed.
4 You need to bring your own tools
scissors, forceps, balance (0.1-100 g), purified water, 1-5 ml pipette (optional), timer
5 Sample determination
5.1 Sample processing: cut the sample to be tested into small pieces, weigh 2 grams of sample in the extraction bottle, add purified water to 10 mL scale, cover and shake for 1 minute, leave for 1 minute, during which it can be shaken to speed up the extraction, supernatant as the liquid to be tested.
5 Take 2 mL of the solution to be tested in the detection tube and add 0.5mL of reagent A. If no blue precipitation occurs, it can be proved that the sample is not sprayed with copper sulfate, and there is no need to continue the next step; if a blue precipitation occurs, continue to add 0.5mL of reagent B in the detection tube, the precipitation disappears, but no bubbles are generated, the sample may contain copper sulfate, continue the next step.
5 Take another 2mL of the solution to be tested in the detection tube and add 0.5mL of reagent C. If a white precipitation occurs, add 0.5mL of reagent B, the precipitation does not disappear, which can prove that the sample contains copper sulfate. If no white precipitation occurs, it proves that the sample does not contain copper sulfate.
